A Note from the Editor
Welcome to Von Aegir Literary’s first issue! I began this journal out of a simple desire to read more poems about my favorite video game series, but I set my expectations for submission volume low, fearing that Von Aegir’s incredibly niche nature would discourage many from submitting. Now, I can proudly say that that was not the case!
Within this issue, you will find 11 poems from 10 wonderful contributors, as tonally and thematically diverse as Fódlan itself! It has been a privilege and a joy to work with these poets, and I am confident that you will fall in love with these pieces just as I have.
So to the contributors and all the submitters: thank you, truly, for helping to make Von Aegir Literary a reality and sharing your words so openly. I am beyond grateful. Thank you to Jennie and Isaura as well—not only for helping me bring this vision to life, but also for offering friendship and support at every turn.
